The Why
At times we may start to shut down, isolate, go inward or just struggle in general. Being able to talk thru, process, or just get additional support from a neutral person can be quite beneficial in working to manage your struggles. Therapy can be very effective in managing your symptoms and circumstances. Some people are great at opening up to many people. Others may keep to theselves (or anywhere in between). There is no right or wrong but having a trained professional and neutral person can be quite helpful in being able to better navigate your situation(s). Sometimes we may not feel so healthy mentally. Therapy can help you understand what you are going through and empower you to improve the situation(s) you may be dealing with. That may include relationships (intimate, professional, familial, etc), managing emotions, or a variety of general situations and circumstances. A therapist can help in providing you a supportive environment when you may be feeling overwhelmed. We work to manage or resolve situations while at the same time learning or developing tools and skills to help you now and for any future situations that may arise. It is a true investment in yourself and something you deserve. We always talk about self-care and therapy is a prime example of what self-care is.
