The How
During our initial session we gather some general information to get an overall view of you and what brings you to therapy. This is part of the assessment/evaluation phase where we build our therapeutic relationship (connection). We discuss your goals and how I can help you. This may include some initial action items. During subsequent sessions we will identify and take steps towards accomplishing our goals. Along the way we will develop and implement strategies, take note of our progress and build on it. We will reflect on areas we may be able to improve on while identifying possible barriers. My personal goal is to see you walk away knowing you are at a place you want to be at while having the confidence in being able to live the life you want to live. I am very open to discuss anything you bring into our sessions. I want to learn about you, develop strenghts, problem solve, and identify areas to grow in. I am a warm inviting presence who makes it a point to create a safe space for you to be in. When we meet my complete focus and attention are on you. I am fairly honest in providing feedback when appropriate. I do well in analyzing situations or circumstances and presenting you with inquiries to increase self-insight while looking at ways to impliment that insight. I bring a lot of life experience to my sessions. People come to therapy and want to be heard which is one of my biggest strengths. I hear, take in, and am a witness to the accomplishing of your goals as a means of living the life you want to live! I feel very confident in being able to provide you what you are in search of.
